Camping in Mount Nemrut isn’t just about setting up a tent beneath the vast canopy of stars; it’s an intimate embrace with history and legends that echo through millennia. As you settle down for the night, imagine the stone gods watching over you, their tales whispering in the winds. Curious about the secrets they hold? Dive into this guide, and let’s embark on an unforgettable journey together.

After successful operations against terrorist organizations, the area around Nemrut Crater Lake, the second-largest crater lake in the world, Bitlis, Turkey’s largest crater lake, and Mount Süphan, which is 4,58 meters above sea level, has become a favorite camping spot for locals and tourists alike.

Both day-trippers and campers were accommodated at Nemrut Crater Lake and Süphan Mountain, which represent the hues of blue and green and were honored with the “Excellence Award” as part of the European Distinguished Destinations (EDEN) programme.

4 Days Turkey Tour – Cappadocia Nemrut Gobeklitepe SanlıUrfa

Since the area has a tranquil environment, more people are camping there every day, according to Bitlis Eren University (BEU) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing Associate Professor Dr. Cihan nen, who has been studying the area for many years. Shedding light on Camping in Mount Nemrut, Dr. Nen stated,

“I have been observing the area for a long time. I also keep track of my discoveries. Lake Van and Nemrut Crater Lake are two amazing natural places in Bitlis. It also has a beautiful natural setting that frequently displays the breathtaking starry sky. Many tourists from Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Finland, and other European nations visit our nation.

Every day, more individuals are setting up camp in Bitlis and the surrounding area. In addition, I saw that local tourists regularly frequented the area. Due to an increase in the number of bears on the Nemrut Kaldra, there have recently been fewer campers in Nemrut. But I also noticed more travelers in the Lake Van basin and Mount Süphan basin.”

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held its 16th Annual Meeting in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, beginning on October 25. ‘Best Tourism Villages’ were awarded as part of the General Assembly. Selection for the ‘World’s Best Tourism Village’ title went to Şirince in the Selçuk district of Izmir, which attracts attention with its history and culture. The award was accepted by Selçuk Mayor Filiz Ceritoğlu Sengel and Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı.

The goal of the ‘UNWTO Best Tourism Village’ initiative, which was introduced by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in 2021, is to use tourism as a catalyst for rural development, community well-being, and transformation. Under this framework, member states may submit applications for up to 15 developing destinations, each with a maximum population of 8,000 people. These destinations must be places where traditional activities like farming, forestry, fishing, and animal husbandry are practiced, preserving the local way of life and values while also having an eye toward tourism.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism completed the nomination form, application form, multimedia content, and presentation in 2023 for the destinations chosen based on the UNWTO’s published criteria. Şirince Village, located near Izmir Selçuk, was named the ‘Best Tourism Village’ for 2023. ‘Upgrade Program’ participation was also available for the communities of Erzincan-Kemaliye and Antalya-Kale Üçağız.

4 Day 3 Night Blue Cruise Turkey Tours Fethiye to Olympos

After the award ceremony, Gökhan Yazgı, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, gave his evaluations and stated,

“The general assembly meeting is almost over. We were happy that it took place in the amiable and fraternal nation of Uzbekistan. The number of participating countries with ministers and deputy ministers exceeded 100. In our bilateral discussions, we also discussed how the crimes had affected tourism.

We said that there needs to be calm and harmony for the world to develop a successful tourist strategy. We declared that everyone in the world needs peace and that we should not keep quiet about the horrors occurring right next to us. The announcement of a three-day mourning period by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has strengthened this procedure.”

Nestled in the Kürtün neighborhood of Gümüşhane, the living tree museum “Spider Forests” is home to hundreds of years-old trees that reach the sky. As one of the country’s major mixed forests, it transforms into a riot of hues every autumn.

The Spider Forests Nature Reserve transforms into a magical landscape when autumn arrives, with the leaves taking on a thousand shades of yellow, orange, and red. This transformation transforms the area into a place straight out of a fairy tale, where all the shades of nature coexist. This year saw a record number of people attend the annual autumn walk through the Spider Forests, which come to life in the fall with their cascading waterfalls, bubbling streams, pure air, and distinctive scenery.

Event participants included 140 athletes from Gumushane Mountaineering, Nature Sports and Youth Association (GÜDAK) and Trabzon Tennis Mountaineering Ski Specialization Club (TEDAK). The Spider Forests are the tallest firs in Europe, the tallest and most diameter spruce in the Balkans, the Caucasus, and Turkey. The event was held within the boundaries of Yeşilköy village in Kürtün district.

In addition to walking the approximately 12-kilometer track through the enchanting autumnal landscape, nature lovers also stopped by the Çağlayandibi Waterfall Nature Park, which is situated near the Çıkrıkdüzü, Güven plateaus, and Kabaktepe Martyrdom. There, they saw 400-year-old spruce and fir trees that are registered as natural monuments.

Bosphorus dinner cruise

At the end of the walk, the athletes tasted the local products provided by the Kürtün Municipality and played horon with the kemençe. They had enjoyed the visual feast by breathing this atmosphere in the unique geography, which is one of the regions that experience the fascinating beauty of autumn in the most impressive way.

Throughout the stroll, enthusiasts for the natural world regularly paused to capture images of the scenery, which comes alive in the fall and is mostly composed of various tones of green, yellow, brown, and red.

The fairy chimneys in the 100-house Yavuzlar village of VAN, which is close to the Iranian border, don’t resemble the Cappadocia tourist destination in Nevşehir’s Ürgüp district. Visitors to Vanadokya who loved the outdoors visited the fairy chimneys and took numerous pictures.

Tourists are drawn to the fairy chimneys in Vanadokya’s Yavuzlar village, which is 33 kilometers from Başkale. These structures were made when wind and rain eroded the boulders that the volcanic Yiit Mountain sprayed, creating fairy chimneys.

The fairy chimneys were seen by a group of nature enthusiasts from Van Vadi Nature Sports who traveled to Vanadokya.

Vanadokya is so stunning, according to mer Demez, president of the Valley Nature Sports Club, that it does not resemble Cappadocia in Nevşehir. Demez stated:

“The settlement of Yavuzlar in Vanadokya has beautiful fairy chimneys. Here, we went to the fairy chimney-adorned castle. We observed the tunnels’ carved end room. The scenery and environment here are beautiful. Together, let’s preserve the environment and historical sites; may our future be secure.”

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

Menduh Acar, who was there during the occasion, said:

“This location is beautiful. Everyone ought to visit and view it. It’s important to keep this area safe. It is being destroyed because it is being injured. There is a high possibility for visitors. Its natural beauty is distinct from that of Ürgüp and Cappadocia.

Turkey’s central city of Vanadokya has recently gained recognition as one of the country’s undiscovered beauties. This area offers a compelling fusion of natural beauties and architectural marvels and has a rich tapestry of history. Vanadokya attracts visitors not just for its breathtaking scenery but also for the friendliness and kindness of its citizens. The local bazaars, teeming with exquisite cuisines and traditional crafts, add to the genuine Turkish experience. Vanadokya is rapidly establishing itself on the map of the world’s tourist destinations as more tourists fall in love with it.

At an elevation of 2,250 feet, Nemrut Crater Lake, which is part of Tatvan’s Van Lake Basin and was awarded the “Excellence Award” under the aegis of the European Distinguished Destinations Project (EDEN), developed autumnal hues.

The lake welcomes a lot of local and foreign tourists throughout the year because of its hot and cold lakes, ice cave, steam chimney, bird species, and biodiversity. The area was visited by a group of Van Lake Activists Association members who are nature lovers and photographers. Visitors that come to the lake in autumn to experience its singular beauty often take pictures in front of the natural marvel.

Nemrut Crater Lake, which is a part of Tatvan’s Van Lake Basin and was given the “Excellence Award” by the European Distinguished Destinations Project (EDEN), developed autumnal tones at a height of 2,250 feet.

Visitors who love the outdoors are welcome here. It is a pretty gorgeous region, a beautiful site in terms of location, according to Mehmet Bagli from Antalya. As it already appears, people are drawn to nature. I’m pleased that I visited Crater Lake.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

The Austrian doctor couple, who had brought their caravan and were camped near Nemrut Crater Lake, likewise expressed their wonder at the area. Neurosurgeon Martin Sojer declared:

“We’ll stay here for two days. We just arrived by car and noticed a vast area because it is a very beautiful spot. I’ve never done this before. We’ll attempt to climb the peak tomorrow. In actuality, we have been on the road for six months. However, we will spend two months in Turkey. Nemrut Crater Lake was fantastic to us. This is a marvel of nature.”

During the 676-month summer season, Samsun’s caravan parking spaces welcomed numerous local and international visitors from 77 different nations and 16 different cities. Every year, interest in caravan tourism grows more widespread, both globally and in Turkey.

The Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, which owns three caravan parks in Canik, Atakum, and Miliç and has been successful in diverting caravan vacationers to Samsun, provides limitless services to tourists in these regions. The only thing the visitors need to do is take in the holiday, the sea, and nature.

Visitors to the caravan parking area, which offers amenities like hot showers, restrooms, and laundry, are increasing yearly. 77 thousand 39 visitors from 16 different countries spent the summer of 2023 at caravan sites owned by the Metropolitan Municipality. 3 caravans and 982 thousand 3 tents stayed at the facilities during the course of 676 months.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

Samsun, according to Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, is one of Turkey’s most significant tourist destinations.

“In terms of tourism, our city offers a wide range of options. Our sea, beach, green spaces, and wildlife are plenty of lovely places that are worth seeing. In terms of tourism, our city is experiencing growth. Visitors are coming in greater numbers every year. As the Metropolitan Municipality, we keep working to improve the city’s tourism infrastructure and broaden its appeal. Interest in caravan tourism has grown significantly most recently. We have more caravans this year thanks to the work we have done. We have raised the number of RV sites in our city to three in response to the interest of travelers traveling by caravan. We established a caravan parking place in our Atakum neighborhood after Terme and Canik. With the addition of our new caravan parking sites, Samsun has emerged as a top destination for camping holidays.”

Nestled along the enchanting coast of the Black Sea, Samsun is Turkey’s captivating blend of history, nature, and vibrant culture. As you step onto its shores, you’re greeted by the gentle whispers of waves and the city’s rich tapestry of tales dating back to ancient civilizations.

The amazing color riot of nature has begun to take place in the upper areas of Gümüşhane, one of the cities in Turkey where fall is experienced most magnificently. Autumn caused Gümüşhane’s highlands and forests to become as colorful as a painting. The location had a wonderful atmosphere due to the poplars’ and other trees’ various color tones, which ranged from yellow to red, orange to purple, in addition to the green of the pine trees.

The Gümüşhane mountains, which display their natural beauty in the most amazing way as the colors pour onto a painter’s canvas and transform into a riot of color, have become one of the locations with the most impressive and magnificent color palettes in Turkey with the coming of fall.

The high portions of Gümüşhane have been essential during this time, which has become a favorite among photographers and nature enthusiasts, for those who want to go on a nature walk while being surrounded by the most stunning autumnal hues.

A nature walk on the 15-kilometer route from Mount Kostan to the village of Dölek was organized by 30 athletes who are members of the Gümüşhane Mountaineering, Nature Sports and Youth Association (GÜDAK). These athletes wanted to see these vibrant and impressive landscapes and explore the geography surrounded by the colors of autumn.

4 Day 3 Night Blue Cruise Turkey Tours Fethiye to Olympos

GÜDAK members organized the first autumn event under the theme “Hello to autumn” in Gümüşhane, an ideal location for those who want to spend the autumn season in the shade of vibrant leaves. The walk began from the forest road of Kostan Mountain in Yayladere village and ended in the picturesque valley in the countryside of Erdemler village, with a view of the distinctive Dölek village in the distance.

The competitors had remarkable experiences throughout the competition, which was held under intermittent light rain, as they walked through landscapes that had burst into a riot of color. They also made sure to gather the naturally occurring fruits that could be discovered in the wild.

Sagalassos is a fascinating ancient city located in the Burdur Province of Türkiye, near the city of Ağlasun. It was once a thriving city-state, and its ruins are a testament to its former glory.

The city was founded in the 7th century BC by the Pisidians, a native Anatolian people. Over the next few centuries, Sagalassos grew in importance and became a major center of trade and culture. In the 1st century BC, the city came under Roman rule, and it continued to flourish during this period.

Sagalassos was devastated by an earthquake in the 6th century AD, and it was never fully rebuilt. However, its ruins have been well-preserved, and they offer a glimpse into the life and times of this once-great city.

Beaches, mountains, valleys, lakes, canyons, and gorgeous protected national parks are just a few of Antalya’s stunning natural features. All of this natural splendor is undoubtedly fantastic hiking terrain. Finding hiking paths, however, is difficult, and there are few online resources. We wrote this hiking guide for the hiking trails in Antalya. You can use it to identify the greatest hiking path locations and complete information about them.

Yanartaş Chimaira

A millennia-old natural phenomenon may be seen close to ral, around 70 kilometers southwest of Antalya. The “eternal fires of Chimaira” are flames that occasionally erupt from the rocky mountaintop.

The fire fields are situated 250 meters above the coastline, 2 kilometers from the ocean. The first flames are 30 minutes away from the café, and the last flames on the hill are around 60 minutes away.

Termessos Ancient Ruins

A trip to the ancient ruins of Termessos at the base of Mount Solymos is a must-do activity close to Antalya. In his Iliad, which tells the tale of Troy, Homer described the Solymans as valiant warriors.

Alexander the Great was unable to take this mountain city by siege. He didn’t want to make an eagle’s nest the price for his army. At 1,500 meters above sea level in Termessos National Park, Turkey’s “Machu Piccu” is now a fantastic place to hike for an hour.

Lycian Way

Cultural pathways are hiking trails that retrace historic trade routes or well-known explorers’ itineraries. For experienced hikers, the most well-known route is the 509-kilometer Likya Yolu, which connects Fethiye and Antalya.

The trail passes by attractions including the ruins of the Xanthos, Myra, and the cliffs on the Lycian Coast on the way to Antalya, which are all included as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

11 Day Turkey Tour With 4 Days Blue Cruise

St. Paul Trail

Another cultural path with challenging and exhausting stretches is the St. Paul Trail. With a length of 500 kilometers, it is regarded as Turkey’s second-oldest hiking route.

It starts in Perge, 10 kilometers east of Antalya, and travels in the apostle Paul’s footsteps to the historic city of Antioch near Yalvaç, northeast of Lake Eirdir. The trail ascends to a maximum altitude of 2,200 meters. There are sections that can be hiked.

The Land of Legends Theme Park

One of the most incredible spots in Antalya to take your kids is the enormous The Land of Legends amusement park. It is 35 kilometers from Antalya Kaleiçi near Belek.

You are transported into the realm of fairy tales as soon as you enter the theme park, and this theme is carried out throughout the entire complex. The resort is appropriately referred to as Antalya’s Disneyland.

Selfie Park Antalya

Selfie Park Antalya, one of the best things to do in Antalya with children, is a 2000m2 haven for kids and their parents, where you can switch roles with your kid by jumping into a big pink ball pit and climbing into a jar of black caviar feeling like a kid, while your kid will feel like a serious businessman sitting on a money throne scattering cash to the right and left. On the property, there are more than 50 sites where you can snap pictures both jointly and individually.

Dino Park

People have always been interested by dinosaurs, and whenever youngsters talk about dinosaurs, their eyes light up. near the 30,000 m2 Dino Park near Göynük, there are reproductions of enormous beasts tucked away in the pine forests. These exact replicas move, sound like dinosaurs, and are lifelike. Children can interact with them while also getting a sense of the enormous proportions of these long-extinct beasts.

Olympos Teleferik

The Kemer beach’s red cable car cabins travel in 10 minutes to Tahtal Mountain, also known as Olympos. The Olympos Teleferik cable car is one of the longest in the world, stretching 4,350 meters. The breathtaking view is worth the approximately 10-minute journey up the 2,365-meter mountain. Even the ancient Phaselis remains are visible. If the weather is clear, you might be able to view Alanya from the mountain’s summit. Visiting this spot is certainly among the top things to do in Antalya with children.

14 Days Turkey Tour – Best Of Turkey

Pirate Boat Experience

In the past, Olympos, originally known as Phaselis, and Alanya were both well-known pirate ports. The Cilician pirates of Korakesion, which is modern-day Alanya, were finally subdued by Pompey, Julius Ceasar’s adversary in the Roman Civil War, and the area was added to the Roman Empire. The Cilician pirates were extremely organized and operated their piracy from ships that were practically considered to be opulent.

One of the most popular tourist sites in the Aegean region is Sedir Island. Interest is piqued in Mula’s Akyaka area by the ruins, natural wonders, and artifacts that are reminiscent of several local and international travelers. The ancient names Kedrae and Cedrae were also used to refer to the Sedir Island, which has been around since the sixth century BC.

The name of the island, originally known as Cedrae, derives from Cedrus, which is Latin for cedar tree and refers to the bushes, olives, pine, and cedar trees that surround this region. Greek and Helenic influences can be seen on Sedir Island, one of the major centers of Carianism among Anatolian natives. According to legend, the queen of the island, which joined the Attic Delos Union in 454 BC and was home to Cleopatra and the Roman commander Antonius, transported the island’s distinctive golden-colored sand to Egypt.

Actually, the island’s geomorphological rocks are to blame for this. The island has a beach that is not his wife in the world because of these sands, which are the product of the erosion of the rocks produced millennia ago. This island, which is protected by this land, is well-known for Cleopatra Beach in particular.

Bosphorus Boat Cruise Tour – Dolmabahce Palace

Sedir Island Location

The Gulf of Gökova, which is situated on the borders of Mula, has the island, which boasts an astonishing attractiveness due to its natural beauty and ancient construction.

How to Get to Sedir Island?

One of the top tourist destinations in Turkey is Cedar Island, which is located near Mugla, 62 kilometers from Marmaris and 23 kilometers away. Regular boat cruises from the village of Aml in Marmaris can also take you to the island.

Sedir Island, one of Mula’s magnificent natural wonders, invites exploration with its sea of many shades of blue, ancient ruins dating back thousands of years, and natural beach!

With so many historical structures at the various ancient sites, wandering the city offers a look into life in the past.

The Ottoman Citadel, which was built on a rocky slope overlooking the town and has 28 towers, is the most significant structure here. Other attractions worth seeing include the 16th-century Ali Pasa Mosque and the 12th-century Garipler Mosque.

The Gök Medrese (Pervane Bey Darussifasi), which was built in 1270, is one of Tokat’s greatest structures. Originally built as a theological institute, it has been transformed into a museum that displays local artifacts.

The Hatuniye Medrese, constructed in the 15th century by Sultan Beyazid II, and a 12th-century Seljuk bridge over the Yesilirmak River are two further noteworthy sites in the area. Another example is the Latifoglu Mansion, which was recently restored to its original state and features the classic architecture of a 19th-century Turkish home.

One of the most picturesque towns in the region, Niksar is located 69 kilometers (43 miles) northeast of Tokat and is home to significant historical artifacts. The well-preserved fortress, Ulu Mosque, and the Yagbasan Medrese from the 12th century are a few of the notable features in this former capital of the Turkish Danismend Emirs. Additionally, Niksar produces wonderful spring water that is bottled and distributed around the nation.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

With its stronghold and the 13th-century Ulu Mosque nearby, Zile is another historic town that is located 67 kilometers (42 miles) west of the province. Numerous historical events have taken place in this area, and Julius Caesar famously spoke the words:

“Veni, Vidi, Vici”; “I came, I saw, I conquered.”

Sebastopolis, an ancient site, is 68 kilometers from Tokat city center. Visitors can examine the intriguing ruins there.

The extensive pine trees, hot springs, clays, and other natural splendors of Resadiye are well renowned. Pazar’s Ballica Cave is a natural treasure. The Dumanli Meadows are another well-known location for recharging.

An average of more than 400 thousand domestic and international visitors are welcomed annually at the Tatlica Waterfalls, which have gained popularity among both domestic and foreign tourists, especially during the spring and summer.

2 Days Ephesus Pamukkale Tour From Istanbul

Business owner of Erfelek Tatlica Waterfalls Süleyman Kurt claimed that more people visited, particularly over the holiday season.

“We have so far accommodated between 250 and 300 thousand domestic and international tourists on average. The Feast of Sacrifice was our busiest time this season, and visitors to Sinop make sure to stop by this location. Local tourists are drawn to our waterfalls because they are a natural wonder with a distinctive nature. Of course, there are also foreign visitors, and Arab visitors in particular are more intrigued.

When a cruise liner visits our city, visitors must take a private cab to go there, raising the expense of their vacation. Our sincere hope is that a research on this topic is conducted. In addition to local and international tourists, new students are also interested in this location but are unable to visit due to rising expenditures. It would be a terrific project for us and our students if our university looked at this topic.”

The Altnkaya Dam, which was built and put into use in 1988 in the Vezirköprü district of SAMSUN, filled the canyon with water, transforming it into the natural gem that it is today. This year, the canyon has already welcomed 70,000 people. Ahinkaya Canyon, the second-largest canyon in Turkey, is a tourist haven, according to Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir.

“By the end of the year, the canyon alone will have more than 100,000 tourists. We are conducting research to determine Samsun’s tourism potential.”

Ahinkaya Canyon, which was created by the years-long erosion of the mountains, rocks, and streams, was filled with water in 1988 when the Altnkaya Dam was built, giving it its current aspect. This natural beauty draws both domestic and international tourists. The canyon, which is located 25 kilometers from Samsun’s Vezirköprü district headquarters, draws attention with its 3,250-meter length, 106-meter average water depth, and 340-meter canyon height.

Visitors can go boating, participating in water sports, and hiking in the canyon, which is the second-largest canyon in Turkey and was designated a “National Tourism Zone” by the Council of Ministers in 2012 and a “Natural Park” in 2015. Adrenaline junkies like the canyon, which also serves as the venue for the “Falcon Fest” extreme sports festival.

4 Days Turkey Tour – Cappadocia Ephesus Pamukkale Tour

Around the canyon, there exist historical remnants and signs of the civilization’s past dating to the Hittite era. There are services with the Metropolitan Municipality and independently owned ferries in the canyon, which is surrounded by picnic and camping places, restaurants, and cafes.

Mustafa Demir, the mayor of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, said:

“There is a beautiful canyon there. Only sight can identify this location. There is currently a significant increase in the number of tourists there. The goal of 100,000 visitors per year to the canyon is being met. There are now close to 100,000 visitors just to Vezirköprü ahinkaya Canyon. Our objective is to bring one million more visitors to Samsun. You become a tourist city once your population hits 1 million.”

Even if it could get a little colder, there are wonderful opportunities to spend time outside with kids in the autumn when nature generously lends all of its hues. Here are some of the loveliest autumnal activities that we may do with kids to enjoy the outdoors autumn in Turkey.

Fall has arrived, and the temperature is starting to drop. Even while spending time at home gets more pleasurable, we may also take our kids outside to play. They allow us to take in the autumn, when nature assumes one of its most lovely forms. So, let’s look at our options and where we can go. Autumn is best enjoyed outside in nature. Visit the woodlands in your city as a result; they are important.

You must view Istanbul’s Belgrade Forest, Atatürk Arboretum, Emirgan Grove, and Maçka Park since they are so exquisitely colored. You can go on a nature walk with your kids and take in the sights of the surrounding natural beauty. Of course, don’t forget to bring a magnifying lens. You’ll want to look at everything you see while walking, after all. Your kids can use a magnifying lens to look at the veins in the leaves and look at insects and fungi.

You could want to unwind or simply spend more time taking in a natural beauty after a lengthy walk in autumn in Turkey. Take your camping chairs with you as a result. You can spend longer time in the woods if you have a few tea or coffee snacks in the thermos. Food is not allowed at the Atatürk Arboretum, however you are allowed to bring a prepared basket as long as you don’t start a fire in the forest. Of course, as long as you don’t leave trash in the environment.

2 Days Gallipoli Troy Tour From Istanbul

We should set an example for our children in this regard by protecting the environment and treating it with respect. Yellowing leaves become a beautiful scene in the fall. Children frequently show a lot of interest in the thousands of leaves that cover the ground. To create a collection, you can assemble various leaves. Stones can also be used for this. It will enter the collector culture through you in this way. Younger children enjoy gathering stones and leaves to paint. They can enjoy themselves by decorating the bags you will bring home with the stones and leaves they collect.

Let’s not overlook the cones, which are common during this season under the trees. Every child enjoys gathering and painting cones.

The Kayaci Valley in Mersin’s Erdemli district, a natural wonder made famous by the tea that flows through it, has developed into a popular ecotourism destination. Pathways, wooden bridges, and rest spots were built as a result of the work done in the valley and began to serve tourism. One of Turkey’s major tourism hubs, Mersin, is where new routes are being developed. There are attractions in the city for both nature and sea enthusiasts, with a coastline that extends 321 kilometers to the Mediterranean.

One of Turkey’s major tourism hubs, Mersin, is where new routes are being developed. There are attractions in the city for both nature and sea enthusiasts, with a coastline that extends 321 kilometers to the Mediterranean.

Every year, visitors are welcomed to the facilities at the entrance of the Kayaci Valley in the district of Erdemli, which makes a significant contribution to nature tourism. This year, an ecotourism field study was conducted by the Regional Directorate of Forestry and Erdemli Branch Directorate in cooperation with the Erdemli Branch Directorate and the Regional Directorate of Forestry.

4 Days Turkey Tour – Cappadocia Ephesus Pamukkale Tour

Forest staff constructed a 3.5-kilometer walking area as part of the project. To cross the stream in the 3.5-kilometer walking area, wooden bridges, paths, and rest spots were constructed. The valley, which draws attention with its wooded regions, sound of running water, and variety of bird species, has taken on a special significance as an ecotourism destination.

Young people who came to explore the valley and enjoyed swimming in the chilly Limonlu Stream throughout the hike brought attention to the area’s stunning natural surroundings. The work done, according to young people cooling off beneath the natural waterfalls, added a different value to the area.

With its deep-rooted history and rich cultural elements, Mardin in Turkey, one of the ancient cities of Mesopotamia, continues to be a well-liked tourist attraction. After a busy summer season, the tourism industry is getting ready for the coming winter. Near the end of the summer season, tourism experts are getting ready for the winter. Winter should be a busy time of year.

According to Aslan Paşolu, president of Tourism Enterprises, the winter season will be intense. Paşaolu remarked,

“The tourism industry in Mardin is growing every day. As you are aware, we have a season for cultural tourism in the spring and the fall. Despite the current intensity, we in the tourism industry are working to extend this season and fit it into a full year. We’ll make sure more visitors arrive.”

Paşaolu added that a variety of events would be held to draw tourists:

“We’ll be doing certain things. There are many festivals here. In November of this year, we will reprise the International Cultural Festival that was held here last year. Together with the worldwide activists union, we will host Ahmeran art gatherings in Mardin. There will be 60 to 70 activists and artists traveling from abroad. Here, we’ll engage in some activities. These activities play a significant role in promoting Mardin. The fact that Survivor Mexico was filmed in Mardin was a big help for the city.”

Bosphorus Boat Cruise Tour – Dolmabahce Palace

Paşaolu claimed that the summer season in Mardin in Turkey did not proceed exactly how they had hoped.

“We experienced an earthquake as a nation. Because of the earthquake, there was a decline. We didn’t have the summer we wanted. Due to the chilly weather, tourists were likewise in short supply.”

“Reservations are busiest in September, October, and November. We believe it will be successful. Mardin’s major benefit is that it doesn’t get too chilly in the winter because it isn’t by the sea. The fact that the air is dry here doesn’t affect anyone. Additionally, we benefit from this. We are fortunate in that regard because it is a city that attracts tourists for cultural tourism.”

Since the late Stone Age, which dates to the eighth millennium BC, people have lived in Pisidia. The Hittite archives also made reference to a few of its historic settlements. Additionally, Pisidia and its inhabitants were formerly referenced by Herodotus and Strabo. Although it being a mountainous area, the soil was extremely fruitful. An extinct Anatolian branch of the Indo-European language was spoken by the Pisidians.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

In the Hellenistic era, Alexander the Great marched through this area after the Persians and besieged the Psidian cities of Sagalassos and Termessos. Following his demise, the region was administered by the Seleucids, the Pergamon Kingdom, and finally the Romans, who gave it the new name of Galatia.

As Saint Paul traveled and preached in Antioch, Pisidia rose to prominence as a major early Christian hub. Up to the 7th century AD, earthquakes, diseases, and Arab assaults decimated the region while it was under Byzantine power, which caused it to start losing prominence as a commerce route. After the Seljuks conquered the region in the eleventh century, the Ottomans took control.

The Vadi Nature Sports Club members plan events on various routes every week to highlight the historical and ecological wonders in and around Van.

In this case, a group of 5 hiked in the Masiro canyon, which spans 77 stages over a distance of around 3 kilometers between the Siirt Pervari and Atak districts of Van. Nature enthusiasts had a fantastic day swimming in the nearby creek and pulling halais.

The goal of the excursion, according to mer Demez, President of the Vadi Nature Sports Club, who spoke about it, was to acquaint people to the Lake Van Basin’s historical and ecological splendors.

Demez stated that they walked down the canyon in three sections.

“In the Shahristan area of the Masiro Canyon, there are Mersen Life Caves. Additionally, there is a church and water cisterns inside the cave. Masiro stream and canyon is a piece of unspoiled nature, shrouded in trees. The canyon is situated on the boundaries of the atak district, 125 kilometers from Van region.”

Gordion, located in the stunning scenery of central Turkey, invites visitors on an enthralling trip through time. The echoes of a once-powerful Phrygian empire and the fabled stories of King Midas are preserved within the silent remains of this ancient archaeological site, which is located in the present-day province of Ankara.

You’ll be taken to a time in the past as soon as you set foot on Gordion’s sacred grounds, where myths and historical facts are intertwined. With its crumbling walls, ancient graves, and mysterious Midas Mound, this location brings the past to life. Join us as we explore Gordion’s extensive legacy, where mythology and history collide in an unexplored archaeological paradise.

An Account of the Past

According to recent excavations, it was inhabited as early as the third millennium BC. The city was a significant Hittite outpost with Assyrian colonists also residing there between the years 2000 and 1200 BC; this is similar to the situation at Kanesh (Kayseri) at the same time. When the Phrygians arrived, starting in the ninth century BC, the city became even more active; under them, it saw its greatest prosperity in the eighth century BC. By the year 690, Cimmerians had overrun the region and obliterated the city.

3 Days Turkey Tour – Cappadocia Konya Tour

The city was rebuilt by the Lydians, but Cyrus and his troops once more destroyed it in 547–546 BC. However, it reclaimed its status as a major commercial and military hub under the Persians. The city was taken from the Persians by Alexander the Great in 333 BC, but the Gauls razed it to the ground in 278 BC. The city was entirely abandoned by the year 200 AD. Excavated Hittite burials from the 17th and 16th centuries BC have some of its contents on display at the Anatolian Civilizations Museum in Ankara.

Nearly a hundred tumulus burials of famous people who lived and passed away between Phrygian and Galatian eras can be found in Gordium proper. Above the beautifully rolling terrain, these stand out. King Midas’ tumulus has been classified as the largest one. It still has some wooden furniture in it that came from his palace, most likely.

On Turkey’s southern shore, Alanya is among the most charming cities. A castle called Alanya Castle, which was erected in the 13th century and is one of the city’s must-see attractions, is situated south of Alanya.

This article will provide you with directions to Alanya Castle, information on its history, and a wealth of travel advice including admission fees, locations, and more.

Things to Do at Alanya Castle

The Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubat constructed the castle in 1221 after capturing the city and ordering its reconstruction. The fortress has 140 bastions and 83 towers. The city’s water needs were met by about 400 cisterns when it was still enclosed in walls during the Middle Ages. Even now, several of the cisterns are still in operation.

The castle was constructed atop the remains of byzantine and roman defenses. At the tip of a rocky peninsula that is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on three sides, it rises 250 meters above the water.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

Inner Castle

On top of the peninsula, there is an outdoor museum. The inner fortress has relics from the Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman eras.

The inner castle at the tip of the peninsula can be reached through a path from Ehdemek. There is a cost to enter this place. A red brick-encased water cistern may be seen on the left. It is still in operation and is one of roughly 400 cisterns that are dispersed throughout the castle.

One of the parts of the citadel that has so far been best conserved is the Byzantine Church. During the Seljuk era, the church served as a tiny mosque. The area behind the church, which is accessible by stairs, functions as an observation terrace. It is advised to observe the breathtakingly lovely city from here, especially around sunset.

The picturesque Girlevik Waterfall, a must-see location for nature lovers and adventurers alike, is tucked away amid the stunning mountains of Eastern Turkey. You’ll be mesmerized by the untamed splendor of the Taurus Mountains, which cradle this natural treasure, as you set off on your trek to Girlevik. The clear waters softly drop from a colossal height, providing a fascinating spectacle that calms and enlivens the senses.

For both nature enthusiasts and adventurers, the magnificent Girlevik Waterfall, located in Eastern Turkey’s stunning mountains, is a must-see destination. As you begin your walk to Girlevik, you’ll be amazed by the untamed splendor of the Taurus Mountains, which protect this natural treasure. The sight of the crystal clear waters gently plunging from such a great height is both calming and energizing.

The Girlevik Waterfall, one of the most stunning waterfalls in the world, is located in the Alayan town of Erzincan, and it is now a popular destination for tourists throughout the summer.

The eyes, where nine separate spring waters flow, are situated in the village of Kalecik at the base of Mount Munzur and are in the path of the travelers. The pores are waiting to be found in the town of Kalecik, which is about 34 kilometers from the center of Erzincan. It also has 9 spring waters. A visual feast for nature enthusiasts is provided by the spring that nourishes the Girlevik Waterfall, which cascades from 40 meters and originates in the foothills of Mount Munzur. With such a beautiful view, it’s possible to see hikers, nature campers, and picnickers nearby.

4 Day 3 Night Blue Cruise Turkey Tours Fethiye to Olympos

Vural Gümüş, who prefers the eyes in the hamlet of Kalecik, arrived with his friends to go on a nature walk, and they commented on how much they liked the view.

“We are in Erzincan, a Kalecik village. With some buddies, we arrived for a nature stroll. It’s a truly wonderful village. The famed Girlevik Waterfall in Erzincan receives all of its water from precisely this location, where it also empties. For nature lovers, seeing and visiting these locations is incredibly entertaining and delightful. We traveled with our buddies today and arrived. Additionally, there are picnics being held here. It is one of the sites to go, see, and see, in my opinion. Telling them how to see it won’t help; instead, go sightseeing.”

About 30 kilometers (19 miles) southeast of Mardin, in the village of Oguz, on the route to Nusaybin, is where you’ll find the Dara site. Some claim that the legendary Persian monarch Darius is the source of the name. Others assert that Dara-Anastasiopolis was a castle constructed at the start of the sixth century AD by the Byzantine emperor Anastasius on a strategic site against the Persians and utilized as a military stronghold.

Additionally, according to historical accounts, Alexander the Great conquered the region in the fourth century BC. Dara had a population of about 100,000 during the height of the Roman era, and it was a significant commercial hub. Arabs took control of Dara in the seventh century AD, after which it became unimportant and was abandoned. In the fifteenth century AD, the Seljuk Turks had sway over the region.

There is still plenty to unearth at this location, where excavations first began in 1986. When you visit Dara, you can see the enormous underground water cisterns that used to supply the castle with water, a sizable necropolis, an open-air theater, a bridge, the agora, military storage facilities, barracks, homes, churches, an arch dam, and other monumental structures that are mainly carved into the rocks and dispersed across a sizable area.

6 Days Turkey Tour – Best Turkey Tour Package

In comparison to the city, the citadel is perched higher on a hill. Two gates, one in the south and one in the north, together with the city walls’ height of 20 meters and length of roughly 4 kilometers are all now in ruins. Dara’s cisterns, which the villagers also called dungeons, are its most spectacular feature; the rest of the site is difficult to explore.

Nestled in the southeastern corner of Turkey, Dara is a captivating destination that beckons travelers with its rich history and scenic beauty. This ancient city, once a bustling hub of the Byzantine Empire, offers a unique blend of archaeological wonders and natural charm. Visitors can wander through well-preserved ruins, marvel at intricately designed structures, and gain insight into Dara’s illustrious past.

Your children may prefer a different kind of vacation with more excitement and adventure if you plan to spend your entire day in the sun while on vacation in the Antalya Region. It is entirely typical. Children can become bored very easily, so it’s likely that they’ll want to explore and learn about areas that they don’t see at home. Well, Antalya is the ideal location to satisfy their desire for fun and excitement. Let’s spotlight the best things to do in Antalya for families.

Pirate Boat Experience

In the past, Olympos, originally known as Phaselis, and Alanya were both well-known pirate ports.
